A Visit to University of Sto. Tomas

I am thinking of doing a flashback post about my experiences in Manila during my review days for the Board Exam. I am also thinking of writing Board Exam tips but I will do that later. So let me start my flashback post with my first visit in University of Sto. Tomas. One of my dream school.
The Pontifical and Royal University of Sto. Tomas was founded on the 28th of April, 1611 by Archbishop of Manila Miguel de Benavides and it is the oldest university in the Philippines and Asia. This private, Roman Catholic univeristy is run by the Order of Preachers in Manila.

Our boarding house was near this university, Padre Campa Street to be exact. So during Sundays, we go to church in UST at 8:00 o’clock in the morning or 6:00 o’clock in the evening. I was dumbfounded by the architecture of the university because it brings me back to the colonial setting. I’ve been reading books about Rizal and the history back in highschool and I was so glad that I was able to set foot on this prestigious school.

I only had few pictures with the school but I was able to stroll around the university. I even have this dream of applying as a Medtech in their hospital or a Medicine but we are not that financially fortunate with the expenses in Manila.
So, me and my friend Alyssa, decided to have a picture of their “Med” tin can letters. I have friends in the university and I am hoping to be back and take a good look again. Ah. memories.
